Die Repair Technician / Tooling Technician - Pierceton
At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Die Repair Technician / Tooling Technician to work with Aludyne in Pierceton. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency, safety, and quality standards of die casting and trim dies within a fast-paced production environment.Shift Patterns
- Monday through Friday, 10:45 pm to 7:00 am
- 28.00 - 32.00 USD hourly
- Do you have experience repairing or maintaining die casting dies, trim dies, or similar tooling?
- Can you read and interpret blueprints, cooling diagrams, and work instructions?
- Are you able to use measuring tools such as tape measures (to 1/32”), micrometers, and calipers?
- Do you have experience with shop equipment including drill presses, grinders, and saws?
- Are you comfortable working in high heat (300–600°F) with required personal protective equipment?
- Do you have experience replacing ejector pins, punch pins, or similar parts?
- Any experience with welding, forklifts, or overhead cranes?
- Perform repair and preventative maintenance on die cast and trim dies.
- Inspect, clean, and polish die cavities and parting lines to restore tooling functionality.
- Maintain water lines and replace fittings to ensure proper flow.
- Troubleshoot minor tooling and equipment issues.
- Prepare dies for shipment and maintain backup dies to ensure production continuity.
