Line Production Mechanic - Wharton

Intro: At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Line Production Mechanic to work with a leading company in the personal care industry in Wharton. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, executing equipment changeovers, and ensuring all production machinery functions safely and effectively.


Shift Patterns:

• 2nd Shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Pay Rates:

• 27.00 - 30.00 USD hourly

Essential Requirements for Line Production Mechanic:

• Explain your production line changeover process, including tooling inspection and storage, while ensuring minimal downtime.


• Describe diagnosing and repairing an urgent electrical or mechanical machinery breakdown safely and quickly under pressure.


• How do you use checklists for preventive maintenance on components, lubrication, and safety hazards? Explain how you would train a junior mechanic.

Desirable Requirements for Line Production Mechanic:

• This position requires working with air compressors, vacuum pumps, and performing welding and part fabrication. What is your comfort level and experience with these specific tools and equipment?


• Are you comfortable with a role that requires high visual attention and potential Saturday overtime?

Role for Line Production Mechanic:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure continuous operation.


• Execute production line changeovers, including inspecting and storing tooling correctly.


• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.


• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.


• Train junior mechanics on changeovers, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
