At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for Mail Sorter to work with a leading company in the logistics sector in Avenel. You will be working for the client in Avenel.

Shift patterns

• Shift:
  Monday thru Saturday 9:00AM to Finish
  Final schedule will be reviewed during orientation

Pay rates

• 15.49 USD hourly

Requirements

Essential requirements for Mail Sorter:

• Employee must be able to pull up to 50 lb. bags off the chute hooks, label correctly, and place bag into a placarded box

Desirable requirements for Mail Sorter:

• Use of pallet jack required, but can be taught
• Must be detail oriented to ensure proper placarding/labeling and must be able to follow clear direction for consistent SOP (standard operation procedure).
• Shift lengths will vary based on mail volume - shift times will average between 6- 10 hours

Your role for Mail Sorter

• Sort incoming mail and packages efficiently according to destination codes
• Handle heavy mail bags and ensure they are placed in the correct transport containers
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
• Operate manual equipment like pallet jacks to move materials across the warehouse
• Verify labels and placards to ensure all shipments are correctly processed
