Material Handler - Fort Wayne

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Material Handler to work with a leading manufacturing company in Fort Wayne. This role is essential for supporting production operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring materials are delivered efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Shift Patterns

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Flexibility for early arrival or extended hours for vacation coverage.
• Availability for weekend overtime as required to support production.

Pay Rates

• 17.00 USD hourly

Must-have Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to work on and off a sit-down forklift throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work the required shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Commitment to working safely while following all company safety and quality procedures.

Desirable Requirements

• 2+ years of sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Experience using RF scanners, barcode scanners, or warehouse management systems.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers, staging materials, and replenishing production lines.
• Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, FIFO, and material tracking processes.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.

Role

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, production lines, and storage areas.
• Perform inventory transactions, material counts, and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S standards.
