Engineering Assistant - Chesterfield

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for an Engineering Assistant to work with a leading company in the manufacturing of small industrial machines in Chesterfield. This hands-on role involves a mix of desk-based design work and active shop floor participation.
Shift Patterns

• Monday to Friday, 6:00/7:00 am to 3:00/4:00 pm
• Overtime available

Pay Rates

• 27.00 - 28.00 USD hourly

Must-have Requirements for Engineering Assistant

• More than 2 years of AutoCAD experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Desirable Requirements for Engineering Assistant

• SolidWorks experience is a plus

Role for Engineering Assistant

• Design and model parts using AutoCAD
• Oversee testing of fixtures, including plug-in and run set-up testing
• Assist in overseeing assembly, finishing, wiring, programming, and debugging processes
• Oversee the installation and wiring of components and sub-assemblies on custom automation machines
• Assist in the build and assembly of fixtures, material equipment fixtures, and drill jigs
