Intro: At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Sit Down Forklift Operator to work with a leading logistics company in Romeoville. This role is essential for maintaining efficient warehouse operations, ensuring that products are moved, stacked, and staged with precision and safety.


Shift patterns:

• 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 11:30 pm

Pay rates:

• 21.00 USD hourly

Must-have requirements for Sit down forklift operator:

• Previous experience at Geodis is noted as a preference


• Commute must not be longer than 40 minutes


• Minimum 1 year of previous sit-down forklift experience


• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment


• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and move throughout the shift

Desirable requirements for Sit down forklift operator:

• Cross-trained in multiple warehouse departments


• Forklift certification


• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems


• Experience working in high-volume distribution or logistics environments


• Flexible to support overtime and varying schedules

Role for Sit down forklift operator:

• Operate sit-down forklift equipment in a safe and efficient manner


• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments


• Move materials throughout warehouse locations and staging areas


• Stack and organize pallets and inventory accurately


• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns


• Support shipping, receiving, and replenishment functions


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment


• Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines
