Machinist - Amory


At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Machinist to work with a leading manufacturer of industrial valves in Amory. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components that meet strict engineering specifications.

Shift Patterns


  • 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays.

  • This is a temp-to-hire position with a goal of conversion to full-time employment at 90 days, based on performance, attendance, and production standards.


Pay Rates


  • 25.00 USD hourly


Essential Requirements for Machinist


  • What machining equipment have you operated?

  • Can you read blueprints and technical drawings?

  • What measuring tools can you use?

  • How do you verify tolerances and specifications?

  • Explain your setup process for tools and fixtures.

  • How do you determine speeds, feeds, and depth of cut?

Role for Machinist


  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and detailed engineering drawings.

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.

  • Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, or out-of-tolerance conditions and make necessary adjustments.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all safety protocols.
