Requirements

Requirements for Sit Down Forklift Operator:

• Valid Sit-Down Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain before start)
• 1+ year of recent forklift experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
• Knowledge of basic warehouse operations (loading, unloading, staging, pallet handling)
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow SOPs and site rules
• Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned schedule
• Basic English communication skills for safety instructions and documentation

Desirable Requirements for Sit Down Forklift Operator:

• Experience with multiple forklift types (stand-up, clamp, reach truck, or EPJ)
• Previous work in a high-volume logistics or distribution center
• Basic RF scanner or WMS system experience
• Ability to read LPNs, BOLs, and pallet labels accurately
• Experience handling inbound/outbound freight or dock operations
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish (helpful for team coordination)

• Strong communication skills to coordinate with leads, drivers, and warehouse teams
• Attention to detail when handling pallets, labels, and inventory
• Situational awareness to maintain safety in fast-moving dock and aisle areas
• Teamwork and reliability — shows up consistently and supports team goals
• Problem-solving mindset for resolving basic freight or staging issues
• Time-management to meet loading, unloading, and production timelines
• Positive attitude and adaptability

Role of a Sit Down Forklift Operator

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and move materials.
• Transport goods to designated warehouse areas, including staging and storage.
• Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Assist with inventory control and verify product labels and quantities.
