Shift patterns

• The Housekeeper / Mechanic Assistant / Maintenance position at BJ's (309 Dultys Ln, Burlington, NJ 08016) has a schedule of 4:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Sunday through Monday, at a pay rate of $18.16 per hour, paid weekly on Fridays. The Housekeeper / Mechanic Assistant / Maintenance position requires that the candidate train and pass a test drive on a tugger, train and demonstrate safe operation of balers to compress carton and plastic, and be mechanically inclined in order to assist in preventative maintenance and minor repair projects. In this position, the Housekeeper will eventually be trained to be a mechanic's assistant working on preventative maintenance / minor repair projects with little to no supervision. When fully trained as a Mechanic's Assistant, your pay rate will go up to $19.66. After approximately 4 months, you will transition from Job & Talent (temporary employee) to the BJ's Team (permanent employee) if you are successful. The possibility exists to continue your mechanical training as a BJ's employee until you reach the Mechanic status, at which time your pay rate will be increased again. Must be willing to work indoors / outdoors in all weather conditions.

Requirements

Essential requirements for Housekeeper/ Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse floors, workstations, break areas, restrooms, and common spaces
• Sweep, mop, dust, and remove debris to ensure a safe and hazard-free environment
• Dispose of trash, recycling, and damaged materials following company procedures
• Support compliance with OSHA and safety standards

Desirable requirements for Housekeeper/ Maintenance:

• Assist with basic maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment (conveyors, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
• Perform routine inspections to identify mechanical or facility issues
• Support preventative maintenance tasks under supervision of maintenance technicians
• Help troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and escalate major repairs
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs

• Basic mechanical knowledge or experience (preferred)
• Previous warehouse, janitorial, or maintenance experience (preferred)
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Your role for Housekeeper/ Maintenance

• Execute daily cleaning and sanitation protocols across the facility
• Assist technical teams with preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
