Shop Technician/Trainee - Livonia
At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Shop Technician/Trainee to work with a leading manufacturing company in Livonia. This role involves operating production equipment, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring high-quality standards for parts.Shift patterns:
- Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM
- 23.00 - 24.00 USD hourly
- Experience as a press or manual machine operator
- Strong mechanical background
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively
- 1–2+ years of general manufacturing or machine shop experience
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and customer specifications
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gage pins, and other inspection equipment
- Basic knowledge of SPC charts and shop math
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Operate production and ring coil machinery according to requirements
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges
- Perform basic machine and tooling maintenance
- Identify, separate, and document parts that do not meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all safety procedures
