Requirements
Essential requirements for Staff Accountant:
- Experience using NetSuite for month-end close, including specific modules like Fixed Assets and Inventory.
- Ability to create complex saved searches or custom reports in NetSuite to analyze manufacturing costs.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting GL account discrepancies and automating manual journal entries.
Desirable requirements for Staff Accountant:
- Experience with inventory valuation (FIFO/Weighted Average) and investigating significant cost variances.
- Knowledge of preparing financial statements in compliance with GAAP regarding inventory reserves.
- Strong analytical skills to improve process efficiency and manage competing deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex financial data to non-accounting colleagues.
Your role for Staff Accountant
- Manage the full cycle of month-end close activities using NetSuite to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Perform detailed inventory valuation and cost variance analysis within a manufacturing environment.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and troubleshoot discrepancies between sub-ledgers and the main ledger.
