Cherry Picker
The Cherry Picker Operator is responsible for safely and accurately picking, staging, and transporting inventory using a cherry picker (order picker) in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role supports efficient order fulfillment while maintaining ID Logistics’ safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a cherry picker/order picker to retrieve and store products at various rack heights
Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS)
Verify product numbers, quantities, and condition before staging orders
Safely transport materials to designated packing or shipping areas
Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical or safety issues
Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
Assist with inventory counts, replenishment, and general warehouse tasks as needed
Meet productivity and accuracy goals while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous warehouse experience preferred; cherry picker experience a plus
Ability to obtain and maintain cherry picker certification
Comfortable working at heights
Basic math and reading skills
Ability to use RF scanners or learn warehouse systems
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
Lift up to 50 lbs independently and heavier items with assistance
Ability to work at elevated heights for extended periods
Work Environment
Fast-paced warehouse setting
May involve varying temperatures and noise levels
Flexible schedule including weekends, overtime, and shifts as required
