Forklift Operator - Southaven

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Forklift Operator to work with a leading logistics company in Southaven. We are seeking skilled operators to support warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment, focusing on safety, equipment handling, and efficient inventory flow.

Shift Patterns

• 1st Shift: Starting as early as 6:00 am


• 2nd Shift: Starting as early as 1:00 pm


• Monday - Friday (Mandatory overtime and weekends as needed)

Pay Rates

• 17.50 - 19.00 USD hourly

Must-have requirements for Forklift Operator

• Valid Stand-Up Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain before start)


• 1+ year of recent stand-up forklift experience (reach truck, dock stocker, or order picker)


• Strong situational awareness due to visibility limitations and crush-point hazards


• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work on your feet for the full shift


• Comfort working at height when placing or pulling pallets from racking


• Reliable attendance and ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety rules


• Basic English communication skills for safety instructions and documentation

Desirable requirements for Forklift Operator

• Experience with multiple forklift types (sit-down, reach, dock stocker)


• Previous work in high-bay racking or narrow-aisle environments


• Experience with radio frequency scanners or warehouse management systems


• Ability to read pallet labels and rack locations accurately


• Experience with put-away, replenishment, and case-picking


• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are helpful for team coordination


• Experience working in cold storage or high-volume distribution


• High attention to detail and strong communication with spotters and leads


• Problem-solving mindset for pallet issues, blocked aisles, or mis-slots


• Positive attitude and adaptability in a changing warehouse environment

Role for Forklift Operator

• Safely operate stand-up reach trucks or dock stockers to move pallets


• Replenish racks and support inventory flow throughout the facility


• Load and unload trailers while maintaining strict safety standards


• Perform equipment inspections and adhere to all safety protocols
