Material Handler - Romeoville

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Material Handler to work with a leading logistics and supply chain company in Romeoville. This role serves as the backbone of warehouse operations, focusing on the efficient movement of inventory, accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a fluid supply chain.


Shift patterns

• 1st shift, Sunday to Wednesday, 6 am to 4:30 pm

Pay rates

• 19.00 USD hourly

Essential requirements for Material Handler

• Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly


• Ability to stand for the duration of an 8- to 10-hour shift


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment


• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

Desirable requirements for Material Handler

• Experience operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, or RF scanners


• Basic computer or inventory management system knowledge


• Strong sense of urgency and reliable attendance


• Exceptional attention to detail

Role tasks for Material Handler

• Locate and pull products from shelves based on pick tickets or digital scanners


• Move raw materials and finished goods using pallet jacks or forklifts


• Inspect items for damage and verify SKU numbers for order accuracy


• Securely pack items, apply shipping labels, and prepare documentation


• Assist in unloading trucks and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
